« In spite of some very lovely staff, this hotel is in an appalling state and desperately need of a facelift. Water damage on the walls, peeling paint, leaking toilets, a broken shower and windows that haven’t been cleaned in years. The owners need to spend a lot of money on this establishment that must have been spectacular in the past, as neither it or the staff deserve it being left in this state. »

« Chambre exiguë, à se demander si ce n'était pas une chambre de bonne reconvertie (3 m de large sur 4 m de long), eau bouillante pour la douche à 2 reprises (2 matinées de suite) : merci pour les migraines de la journée ! Pas de wifi dans les chambres : nécessité de se rendre dans les salons et à l'accueil situés au rez de chaussée pour se connecter à internet avec smartphone et pc portable. »

« Room wasn't serviced - breakfast expensive - asked for poached eggs which came and tasted of vinegar - asked for fried eggs which came and yokes burst and hard »

« Lovely staff as usual.Rooms are as described, clean, and handful amentities. The botomless breakfast is really good too »

« I know it was late season but reception and bar not manned. Heating on full blast, was too much. Good breakfast, worth the extra, nice to see dogs allowed, even though I did not take my own, Scarborough is a very dog friendly place. »

« Breakfast not great, beds not very comfortable, room cold on arrival »

« Good for a night or two. Tired, empty large corridors. Walls are thin. But it's warm, and in a decent area »

« The room was ok but was not serviced daily. The heating only came on for around an hour in the morning and as it is October perhaps should have been a couple of hours at night. The staff were polite and friendly. »

« Très bon séjour, personnel très accueillant petit bémol la taille du lit double très petit sinon tout était parfait »

« We stayed for two nights in the Marrakesh suite and loved it. A huge comfy bed, air conditioning, mini fridge, lots of storage and a large TV. Upstairs is a large jacuzzi bathroom complete with bathrobes and slippers. The host, Debbie was fantastic, she always seemed to be on duty and was very helpful. Breakfast was very good with a huge selection and could be taken in the dining room or in your suite. »

« The property is clean and basic, in comparison to others we have stayed in at The Bay. However, the listing could be made clearer. Guests should be aware that there is no WiFi connection, they need to bring, towels, hairdryer and there are no basic cleaning products or toiletries supplied. »

« We had no running hot water other than the electric shower. No wardrobe just hangers on hooks. TV was the size of an iPad. Bottom bed sheet too small and forever coming off. Needs to be clearer when it states breakfast included but it is only cereal. Outside seating area not suitable as soiled with seagulls droppings »

« Lovely quiet accommodation just a few miles outside Scarborough good breakfast owner very friendly would recommend this B&B »

« We had a wonderful stay. Easy instructions, helpful host and a lovely room to stay in. Very clean and the bed was comfy. Blessed also with glorious weather in October!! The only point I’d raise was the water pressure in the shower wasn’t great but it worked and was hot!! Will definitely rebook!! »
